Can you imagine a time when tobacco companies were able to come to your college campus and survey you and your classmates on your favorite cigarette? It wasn’t too long ago! These ads from 1953 tell a story of a much different college experience. Or do they? Tobacco companies still manage to infiltrate high school and college campuses in other ways, but federal litigation makes advertisements which blatantly target teens, like these Cavalier ones, illegal today.
